Your heart rate is a valuable indicator of exercise efficiency and offers a way to measure progress. Zone training can help you reach specific goals at different stages of a training regimen, whether focused on weight loss or enhanced cardiovascular performance.
Zone training can offer focus and prevent overtraining by helping you monitor your heart rate within the target zones. Overtraining can lead to negative effects both physically and mentally such as muscle soreness, elevated resting heart rate, burnout, increased blood pressure, loss of appetite, and mood swings.
To maximize app benefits, a Bluetooth 4 Heart Rate Service (HRS) compliant sensor is recommended (e.g., Polar H7 Smart, Wahoo TICKR, Bose SoundSport Pulse).

If you lack a heart sensor:

<li>Calculate your VO2 Max with a 1½ mile run.</li>
<li>Determine your Maximum Heart Rate.</li>
<li>Receive optimal heart rate zone recommendations based on your fitness objectives (fat burn, cardio, etc.).</li>
<li>Access references regarding the usage of heart rate zones in fitness and sports sciences.</li>
</ul>

Data Privacy:
<ul>
<li>Your data remains secure on iOS Device or iCloud Account with full control over who accesses it.</li>
<li>The app seamlessly integrates with Apple Health eliminating the need for additional accounts.</li>
<li>All data is stored locally on your iPhone/iPad/Apple Watch without any external internet databases involved.</li>
</ul>

Battery:
<ul>
<li>Running GPS continuously in the background significantly impacts battery life.</li>
<li>Prolonged use of the Apple Watch heart rate sensor can also reduce battery life substantially.</li>
<li>Viewing heart rate in Graph mode consumes battery when automatic adjustments are made. Switching to manual mode via the settings icon can help conserve power.</li>
